2023 Bulang Shan Shu + aged Chen Pi
The rich creamy bulang is a great match for the brighter citrus of the chen pi. The Chen Pi has been aged long enough (about three years) to get rid of the aggressive acid notes.

My first go with a Chen pi is a very approachable one! Nice deep shu with citrus overtones. Chen pi comes through for many steeps and is a nice backdrop for the earthy shu!
I was really impressed with this tea. I usually brew the xiao qing gan oranges, but find that the citrus flavor can be overpowering to the puer, and the same can be said of anything with chenpi, but this was very well balanced with the puer and makes me want to drink this style of tea more often. Yet another winner 🏆
